The lamentation over the diminution of traditional costumes is a very old story, just as old, however, is the song of songs concerning their beauty - and this is valid worldwide.

Being a little child, I was fascinated by the old women of my home area, still wearing their traditional costumes every day without posessing one piece of modern cloth. As my interest grew, I wanted to have a traditional costume of my home area, but there was nearly no store selling suitable traditional fabrics and material.  Fascinated by the big crowns mado of wire, little brass plates and hollow glass pearls I began to build my first traditional crown followed by several caps and crowns from other areas.
